I Met Vic Mignogna!

My friend and I attended Banzai Con today, something we had both been planning to do since this past spring. I dressed as Fai, my favorite character from my favorite anime, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. 
Really, both my friend and I love that anime.
Once there, I found out where one of my favorite voice actors, Vic Mignogna (who voices Fai) would be signing autographs. Fortunately, I managed to get a pretty good spot in line, considering just how long the line was.
It stretched around quite a bit within the building the convention took place in. But when it was my turn, Vic noticed me, just sort of stepped back and smiled. 
It seems I was the only cosplayer dressed as Fai, and apparently he must have really enjoyed voicing that character, because he claimed that my costume was his favorite! 
After getting a picture with him and getting his autograph, my friend and I wandered about the building, having fun checking out the cool crafts for sale and all the amazing cosplays.
But meeting Vic Mignogna was so much fun and it really made my day!

Pinocchio Costume

Hello! It's been a while since I've posted a journal on here. But I've been working on a new costume, starting today: Disney's Pinocchio! 
I really do love that old movie, and Pinocchio is certainly my favorite character! So far, I've cut out most of what I need for the overall shorts, and I'm going to cut out the hat, next. That is, if my cat (who conveniantly looks a bit like Figaro) would stop laying on top of the fabric and messing with my blue ribbon and red feather. 
The main reason I'm making this particuliar costume is because I'm planning to take a couple friends with me to Disney World in a year or two, around Halloween. Have any of you been to Disney World around Halloween? If so, what did you think of it? I'm so curious and excited, even though, if we really go, it's still a long ways away.
Well, hopefully I'll have this costume done in no time and I'll be able to bring it if and when we go.

Dream Interference

I usually have very vivid, memorable dreams. A couple nights ago, I certainly had a memorable- and funny- dream, after watching Captain America and the first half of Thor. This dream apparently took place shortly after The Avengers, as Loki had returned to take over the Earth. Again. So, of course Thor came after him, but managed to get help from Captain America. Together, they located Loki and were about to do battle, when a strange thing happened. First, Thor fussed at his 'brother' a bit, telling him that he needed to return to Asgard. Then, Captain America pointed at Loki and opened his mouth to say something as well, except it wasn't his voice that came out.
Let me explain this: I have an alarm clock that plays several different phrases. So, it literally tells- usually more like 'demands'- me to wake up. My alarm clock woke me up that morning. So, it went a bit like this:
Captain America: (in a strangely deep, country/southern accent) "Well, I'll tell you what! You press that there snooze button one more time, and I'm gonna have to open up a can of whoop *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* ...and you know I'm gon' do it, too!"
Thor and Loki:
When I completely woke up, I just sort of rolled over, turned the alarm off, and said, quite flatly, "Wow." And no, I wasn't just censoring what Cap seemed to say, the alarm really does just have a series of beeps at that point.
This morning, from a dream I had, my alarm clock woke me up again. Of course, it was pretty funny to see Loki look very seriously at me and say, "You gotta wake up!" I'm hoping that I'll have dream about the Hulk tonight, so that I can end that dream by seeing him say, "Good morning, sunshine!"

The Avengers

This is my first journal entry on here!!!
So... um, 'hi'.
Well, for my first journal entry, I thought I'd have a little fun and express my delight in seeing the new Avengers movie! Twice! To begin with, it's probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while. I'll try not to give anything away, in the case that anyone reading this hasn't seen this amazing movie yet. I thought that the storyline was fairly well put together, and the characters were brilliant. I know that my dad used to read about all of these characters as a kid, and now that interest has developed in me! Going to the theater to see it with him was fun, because I was able to see his reaction to the movie. And I enjoyed it, in particular, because I've decided I like Thor, and, admittedly, I've developed a crush on Loki. 
Yup. Plus, I love the costumes! I want to make a costume like Loki's one day, so expect to see that sometime in the future! ...once I can get the supplies and figure out how to make it, that is... 
So... who is your favorite character, hmm?
